Sick of being sick

Sick of being sick It has been a rough two weeks for me. I started getting sick with nasal congestion. It turned into a bad cough and sore throat. I thought I could take care of it naturally with vitamin C, echinachea and the like and lots of rest but it progressively got worse. I ended up taking off every other day from work. I would feel better, go back to work and talk all day, and feel bad again. I finally went to the Dr. on Tuesday and they told me it was all allergies settling in my lungs and that I should take a nasal steroid to clear it up. Even though I am prone to bronchitis they didn't think there was an infection. Yesterday after work my kidney areas starting feeling like knives going into my ribs every time I coughed. It got worse and now moving or even blowing my nose is the worst pain! I talked to the Dr. and they wanted to give me Robitussin with Codeine. I called the midwife to make sure that was okay and she said enough is enough. She wants me to feel better so I can take better care of the baby. She called me in a Z-pak antibiotic and told me it will clear up my chest and make me feel better starting tomorrow. I really hope so...I am sick of being sick. The fact that I am anemic hasn't help me get better either. Although I have good news on that topic. My iron we up a whole point in one week so the slow iron pills are making a difference with my iron count. I should be back up to normal by the time I have the baby.
