Trip to Austin
This past weekend we took a trip to Austin to celebrate Jessica's birthday. Once again I had a fall. We were crossing the street and I stepped in a pot hole then tripped up onto the curb and couldn't catch my balance. On the other side of the curb was a hill and I was still trying to catch my balance. I grabbed out for Damon and Robbie, but Robbie was too far away. I knew I was going down. I landed on the same side as the bike fall. But this time I went down on my knee and palm. I felt SO stupid for falling again. Within seconds there were people surrounding me including a couple of cops asking me if they should call 911. The people were freaking me out more than the fall. My palm was bleeding and my knee was torn up a little under my jeans and really ached. Other than a little shaken up I was fine. The cop asked me if this was my first pregnancy b/c he said his wife had equilibrium difficulties too. Later that night I noticed that the right side of my chin hurt. The next day I knew why when it was all bruised. I guess I hit my chin on the ground too, but I don't remember that. I am healing up pretty well although my shoulder really aches from the impact of my palm on the ground. I am not sure how much more falling Pedro can take! Here is a picture of me the next day.
